EMC laboratory chamber (anechoic room)
With rapid expansion of communication and electronic equipment, the possibility of their interference has been increased. Thence, immunity and safety standards were formed and made compulsory in different countries; to mention FCC standards in USA and CE requirements in Europe. Emission tests in electromagnetic compatibility are those in which the extent of radiated waves from an electronic device(radiated emission) or its immunity against radiated waves( radiated immunity) are studied. The anechoic chamber provides the opportunity to conduct the above tests in conditions required by the standards.

Standards covered by the tests in the areas of immunity and radiation are considered and their measurement standards are shown in the following table.

standard specification
IEC 61000-4-3 Radiated immunity test (80 MHz-6 GHz) measuring at 3 meter
IEC CISPR 16-1-4 Site attenuation for emission (30 MHz – 1 GHz) measuring at 3 meter
Site VSWR for emission (1 GHz – 18 GHz) measuring at 3 meter
IEC CISPR 22 (En 55022) Emission measurement of IT equipment
IEC CISPR 11 (En 55011) Emission measurement of ISM(industrial, scientific and medical equipment
IEC CISPR 13 (En 55013) Emission measurement of Video & Audio equipment
